Croatia to promote fledgling authors at Frankfurt Book Fair

Selected young Croatian authors will appear at this year's Frankfurt International Book Fair on October 19-23 under the motto "They're coming - 7 magnificent young authors".

The theme of the promotion is "Croatia: History - Culture - Life" and will feature Katja Grcic, Iva Tkalec, Ruzica Ascic, Borna Vujcic, Valent Pavlic, Ivan Jozic and Zoran Anticevic. The promotion was organised by the Croatian Culture Ministry and the Brod Kulture association from Zagreb.

Seventeen Croatian publishers will attend the 68th Frankfurt International Book Fair, one of the most important events for publishers, authors, translators, literary agents and film producers. On average, about 7,000 publishers from over 130 countries, about 300,000 visitors and 10,000 journalists attend the fair. This year's guests of honour are The Netherlands and the Belgian region of Flanders.
