Djakovacki Vezovi folklore festival holds 50th edition

About 60 folklore groups from Croatia and abroad with a record 6,000 participants marched through Djakovo, eastern Croatia on Sunday as part of the 50th Djakovacki Vezovi festival.

This year's event was held under the auspices of the president of the republic, parliament and the government. Marchers included folklore groups from all over Croatia as well as Croatian folklore groups from Australia, the US, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Vojvodina and Germany.

After the two-hour procession, the festival continued with folklore performances.
