Exhibition on Croatian small farmers opens in Brussels

A photo exhibition called "My little piece of land", telling the stories of six small farmers from Croatia who use traditional production, was opened at the European Commission's Directorate-General for the Environment in Brussels on Friday.

The farmers live and work in areas of Natura 2000, network of nature protection areas in the territory of the European Union.

The exhibition highlights the importance of small farmers and their traditional know-how and skills for the protection of species and habitats.
