The fourth edition of of the literary festival "Europea u Dvoristu" ("Europe In The Yard") organised by the Ljevak publishing company will take place in Zagreb this autumn and winter, the publishing company has stated.
The festival will be opened by Turkish writer Ciler Ilhan who will present her collection of stories Surgun (Exile) that won the EU Prize for Literature, in Zagreb on 26 September.
Icelandic writer Ofeigur Sigurdsson will promote his book "Jon" on 26 October. This novel won the The European Union Prize for Literature in 2011.
By the end of this year, the festival will feature also Lidija Dimkovska of Macedonia on 16 November, Anglo-Australian author Evie Wyld on 7 December and Ben Blushi of Albania on 14 December. They are also winners of the EU Prize for Literature.
