Pushkin bust to be unveiled in Zagreb's Bundek Park

A bronze bust in memory of Russian poet Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin will soon be erected in Zagreb's Bundek Park, and an agreement to this effect was recently reached by Deputy Mayor of Zagreb Vesna Kusin and a Russian delegation led by the head of the International Federation of Russian-Speaking Writers, Oleg Volovik.

Volovik thanked the city authorities for embracing this initiative to install the Pushkin bust in one of Zagreb's landmarks.

This will be the first bust to be unveiled in the future Poets' Alley in Bundek.

The unveiling ceremony is scheduled for 6 June to commemorate the birth of this great Russian poet and founder of modern Russian literature on 6 June 1799.

A delegation of the City of Moscow is expected to attend the ceremony.
