The festival's director Igor Rakonic told a press conference in Zagreb on Tuesday that this year's VFF will feature the "greatest number of productions ever."

The festival's greatest attraction this year will be the premiere of  Pedro Almodovar's Julieta  - a film about a chance encounter that causes a woman (Emma Suarez) to reflect on the tragic circumstances surrounding the disappearance of her daughter.

VFF will also present films such as Ken Loach's - I, Daniel Blake and Woody Allen's latest film - Cafe Society, coming to Vukovar directly from the Cannes Film Festival.

The festival will also present five educational workshops including one for the youngest audience about stop animation.
