Thousands of Croats flock to theatres at Theatre Night

Thousands visited theatres and concert halls in 42 Croatian cities and towns during the seventh edition of Theatre Night on Saturday evening.

This year, a total of 85 institutions joined the campaign and 125 plays were performed at 78 venues in the 42 towns and cities throughout Croatia, said the manager of the European Theatre Night event in Croatia, Nina Kruljac.

A majority of plays and events during the European Theatre Night were free of charge or tickets were sold at affordable prices.

Apart from Croatia, also institutions in seven countries -- Austria, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Montenegro, Serbia and Slovakia -- joined this initiative.
