EU offers Bulgaria 108 million euros to help tackle migration

The European Commission is providing Bulgaria with 108 million euros (121 million dollars) to help tackle migration, the president of the European Union's executive, Jean-Claude Juncker, says following a meeting of EU leaders in Bratislava.

"Bulgaria is not left alone," Juncker adds.

He says the intention of the commission is to top this amount up to the 160 million euros that Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov has requested.
