German consulate, school in Istanbul to remain closed on Friday

The German consulate general in Istanbul, as well as the German school in Istanbul will remain closed on Friday, according to an email from the consulate general sent to Germans living abroad.

"Please continue to avoid the close vicinity of the consulate general," the email said.

The German embassy in Ankara, the consulate in Istanbul, and German schools in both cities were closed Thursday after indications of planned terrorist attacks.
