Merkel: Brussels "murderers" are enemies of European values

German Chancellor Angela Merkel says that the "murderers" who committed the terrorist attacks in Brussels are "enemies of all the values that Europe stands for."

"Our horror [in response to the attacks] is equally as strong as our determination to fight terrorism," Merkel says in a speech at the chancellery, adding that Europe "will emerge stronger" from the challenge.

Merkel says her cabinet will hold an extraordinary meeting Wednesday to discuss the consequences of the attacks.
