German Chancellor Angela Merkel lands in the south-eastern Turkish city of Gaziantep as part of a trip to promote a controversial migrant deal between the European Union and Turkey.
Merkel will make her way to the nearby town of Nizip - home to thousands of Syrian refugees living in a government-run container camp - to hold talks with Turkish officials alongside EU President Donald Tusk and European Commission Vice President Frans Timmermans.
Later in the day, Merkel, Tusk and Timmermans will give a joint press conference at Gaziantep University.
