Pilots strike to ground around 20 per cent of Air France flights

A number of Air France flights will be canceled on Saturday, the second day of the Euro 2016 tournament, due to a pilots strike, the carrier says.

The airline said it could assure that only 80 per cent of planned flights would take place, with the labour action expected to ground a fourth of medium-haul flights to and from Paris.

Some 90 per cent of long-haul and domestic flights are to remain unaffected.

The airline however said possible delays and short-term cancellations could not be ruled out.
