Report: Rioting at Greek migrant camp leaves at least four injured

Fistfights broke out among migrants in a camp on the Greek island of Lesbos during the night, injuring at least four people, public broadcaster ERT reported Thursday.

The fire brigade was called out to extinguish fires and it took police until the morning to bring the situation under control, the report said.

Several tents are thought to have been destroyed in the rioting, which reportedly broke out between Afghan and Pakistani residents there.

Tensions are high at the Moria migrant camp, where the vast majority of the 3,000 people living there is set to be sent back to Turkey under a recent deal struck between the European Union and Ankara, putting an end to their hopes of seeking asylum in Europe.
