Report: Seven more arrests in connection with Istanbul airport attack

Turkish authorities have arrested another seven suspects in connection with a deadly bomb attack at Istanbul airport last month, state-run Anadolu news agency reported on Monday, bringing the total number of arrests to 37.

The bomb attack in late June was the worst in Istanbul in more than a decade, leaving over 45 people dead and 240 wounded.

The latest arrests were made on Sunday evening. The suspects face charges of being a member of armed terrorist group and assisting premeditated homicide, the report said, citing judicial sources.

The Turkish government blames Islamic State for the terrorist attack but no group has yet claimed responsibility.
