The Remain campaign is likely to "edge it" in Britain's closely contested EU referendum, UK Independence Party leader Nigel Farage says as polls closed.
"It's been an extraordinary referendum campaign, turnout looks to be exceptionally high and looks like Remain will edge it," Farage, who campaigned for a vote to leave the European Union, says in a statement to Sky News.
"UKIP and I are going nowhere and the party will only continue to grow stronger in the future," he says.
