Austria's newly elected president, Alexander Van der Bellen, wants to foster a culture of dialogue after his narrow win against a popular far-right candidate showed many people "do not feel adequately seen or heard."
"We will need another culture," Van der Bellen tells the press after the announcement of the final presidential election results.
He sets his sights on winning over voters who had supported his rival, Norbert Hofer, adding that "one half [of the electorate] is just as important as the other."
