FIFA launches disciplinary proceedings against Croatia, Kosovo

The international football federation FIFA has launched disciplinary proceedings against Croatia and Kosovo over the inappropriate conduct of their fans during a World Cup 2018 qualifier played on October 6.

During the match, which was played in Albania and which Croatia won 6:0, both teams' fans chanted "Kill the Serbs" in their own languages.

The first FIFA match hosted by Kosovo was played in Shkoder, Albania, because Kosovo does not have adequate stadiums.

FIFA did not say when it would announce its decision on the matter.

The Croatian national team has already been ordered to play two home World Cup qualifiers behind closed doors due to riots caused by its fans.
