FIFA sets ticket prices for 2018 World Cup

The cheapest price for a 2018 World Cup match ticket for non-Russia fans will be 105 dollars, football's world governing body FIFA said Tuesday.

The most expensive ticket - for the final on July 15, 2018 in Moscow's Luzhniki Stadium - will be 1,110 dollars, FIFA marketing chief Thierry Weil said.

FIFA will sell tickets in four price categories including a category reserved for Russian fans, with the cheapest ticket in this category costing 1,280 roubles (around 18 dollars).

FIFA secretary general Fatma Samoura said in a FIFA statement: "We wanted to make sure that we priced tickets fairly to make the events accessible to as many people as possible."

Ticket sales will begin via after next year’s Confederations Cup.
