Johaug moves top in Tour de Ski with record-equalling win

Norway's Therese Johaug won a record-equalling sixth straight cross country skiing distance race on Saturday and with her 15-kilometres success also took first place in the Tour de Ski standings after two stages.

Johaug led from start to finish in the classic style mass start event as she topped a Norwegian sweep in 41 minutes 26.4 seconds, 37.9 seconds ahead of Ingvild Flugstad Oestberg and 1:16.2 minutes clear of Heidi Weng.

The six-times world champion and 2014 Tour de Ski winner Johaug has won all six distance races this season to match the achievement of Italy's Manuela di Centa from 1996.

Thanks to bonus seconds, Johaug moved top of the Tour standings 4.5 seconds ahead of Oestberg, who she had trailed by 44.4 seconds after Friday's sprint.

A men's 30km mass start was scheduled for later Saturday in Lenzerheide.
