Lazio, Chievo into high tiers of Serie A after away wins

Lazio beat Udinese 3-0 Saturday from a Ciro Immobile brace and Keita Balde's goal to get third place in Italy's Serie A.

The Rome side have 13 points from seven games and are ahead on goal difference of Chievo, who won 2-0 earlier at promoted Pescara.

Champions Juventus lead on 15 and Napoli trail on 14. Udinese stayed on seven points and Pescara on six.

Immobile is now on four goals after heading into the far corner in the 28th minutes and firing low, again close to the far post, on 61. Keita netted the Rome side's second on 54 minutes, beating Orestis Karnezis off a Felipe Anderson assist.

At Pescara's Stadio Adriatico substitute Riccardo Meggiorini and Roberto Inglese struck in the last quarter hour for the guests from Verona.

Valter Birsa set up Meggiorini in the 31st minute to control and power past Albano Bizzarri, while Inglese finished off a counter-attack nine minutes later.

On Sunday, Juve visit Empoli and Napoli are at Atalanta in an eight-game programme closing with the late classic Roma (10) v Inter Milan (11).
