Messi returns in style as Barcelona enjoy 4-0 rout

Barcelona cruise up to second in the Spanish Liga with a 4-0 exhibition at home to Deportivo La Coruna and Lionel Messi scoring just three minutes after returning from a month's injury absence.

Rafinha, making a rare start, scored Barca's first two goals then Luis Suarez added a third before super-sub Messi completed the rout.

Barca now have 16 points, one less than leaders Sevilla, who won 3-2 at Leganes earlier.

Barca are one point above Madrid neighbours Atletico and Real. Later Saturday, Atletico were to host bottom team Granada and Real were to visit Real Betis.
