Croatian para-table tennis player Sandra Paovic (33) has won the gold at the Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro, defeating Germany's Stephanie Grebe 3-0.
This is Croatia's first ever gold medal at the Paralympics and the fourth medal altogether.
Paovic is the current world champion and twice European champion and has not been beaten in two and a half years.
Two years ago she was proclaimed the best para-table tennis player in the world. Since June 2014 she has held first place in the world ranking in her category of disability.
Paovic joined the Paralympic family after a car accident in January 2009. Before that she played in the Olympic Games in Beijing.
