Filming of reality show in Croatian nature park allowed for promotion

Discovery Channel's "Naked and Afraid" reality show, in which naked contestants compete in surviving in the wild, was filmed in eastern Croatia's Kopacki Rit nature park last year, whose management, in agreement with the Environment and Nature Protection Ministry, gave its permission, seeing it as a good opportunity to promote the area.

Filming took place over ten days in late July and early August, the park's management said on Tuesday.

The park's management allowed filming only in the part of the park envisaged for such things and not in the special reserve, park director Damir Opacic told Hina. He said the park's staff watched the filming to make sure that it was done in line with the Nature Protection Act and the Hunting Act.
