Number of visits by foreign cruise ships in Jan-Jul 2016 up 2.9 pct

There were 395 visits by foreign cruise ships in the Croatian Adriatic in the first seven months of this year, which is an increase of 2.9% from the same period of last year, according to figures released by the national statistical bureau on Monday.

The visiting cruise ships brought 536,900 passengers in the first seven months, which is 3.8% more people than in the same period in 2015.

The vessels stayed a total of 910 days in Croatia, a 12.2% increase from the first seven months of 2015.
