Bus driver in Brazil loses control after being shot - 9 dead

Nine people died and 20 were injured when a bus driver crashed into a tree in Brazil on Saturday.

The driver is thought to have lost control of the vehicle after he was shot at by someone in another car, survivors of the accident in Mambore in the southern state of Parana told newspaper Gazeta do Povo.

The newspaper reported that four of the 20 people injured were fighting for their lives.

The driver is reportedly among the dead. It was unclear whether he had been shot dead.

The bus was carrying passengers on a shopping tour to Paraguay.
