Cypriot police remove reporters from airport fence in Larnaca

Police ask journalists to leave the area around a fence at Larnaca International Airport where the highjacked EgyptAir plane landed, according to reports by official broadcaster RIK.

Officers tell journalists to set up their cameras at a distance of 1 kilometre from the airport, according to the report. Cafes and restaurant near the airport were also closed.

Officials did not confirm whether a police operation was imminent.
