Eight killed or missing, dozens injured in heavy China storms

At least two people were killed, six missing and nearly 50 injured after heavy storms battered several regions of China on Friday. Six construction workers were missing after a landslide buried a work shed in north-western Yunnan province, according to the official Xinhua news agency. Rescue were still searching for the workers Saturday morning.  Two people were killed and 24 injured when a market building collapsed during a storm in Foshan city of Guangdong province, according to official media.

In Nanning, the capital of the Guangxi Autonomous Region in southern China, 23 people were injured when a landslide knocked down the walls of a school.
