Iran is adhering to implementation of nuclear deal, agency says

Iran is adhering to all conditions of a nuclear deal that it struck last year, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) said.

The Islamic Republic is fulfilling all requirements and granting inspectors access to all relevant locations, IAEA said in a report Friday, which dpa has seen.

Mid-January marked the start of the implementation phase of a nuclear deal hammered out by Iran and a group of international powers during the course of the last year.

The deal, which requires Iran to limit its nuclear capabilities, allowed the lifting of many international sanctions on Tehran.

IAEA is responsible for monitoring Iran's execution of the deal, which includes the country not owning more than a total of 300 kilograms of enriched uranium.
