Kerry to talk Syria with Putin, Lavrov in Moscow next week

US Secretary of State John Kerry plans to travel to Moscow next week for talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on Syria.

The leaders will discuss "how we can effectively move the political process forward and take advantage of this moment," Kerry says.

With Russia's decision to remove "half its forces immediately" from Syria, along with the beginning of peace talks, Kerry says the situation in the war-torn country has reached "a very important phase."

"This is a moment to seize, not waste," Kerry says.
