Kerry to travel to Geneva for Syria peace talks

US Secretary of State John Kerry will be in Geneva on Sunday and Monday to review the status of ongoing Syrian peace talks, the State Department says.

Kerry is scheduled to meet with the foreign ministers of Jordan and Saudi Arabia, as well as UN Special Envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura.

"In all his discussion, the secretary will review ongoing efforts to reaffirm the cessation of hostilities nationwide in Syria," according to a statement.
