Kerry vows to support Belgian terror probe, destroy Islamic State

US Secretary of State John Kerry says his country will help Belgium investigate the recent terrorist attacks and vows to "destroy" the Islamic State extremist group that has claimed responsibility for them.

"We will not be intimidated, we will not be deterred, and we will come back with greater resolve," Kerry says in a message to terrorists globally. "We will not rest until we have eliminated your nihilistic beliefs and cowardice from the face of this Earth."

"We will be successful in destroying Daesh," he says, referring to the Islamic State group by its Arabic acronym. The extremist militia's territory is already shrinking and its leaders are being "decimated," he said.
