Several injured at Snoop Dogg concert after rail collapse

Several people were injured late Saturday at a concert in New Jersey by rappers Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa when the railing they were pressed against collapsed, causing them to tumble to the concrete below.

In the moments before the incident at the outdoor venue in the city of Camden, videos posted on social media captured Snoop Dogg urging concertgoers to "get up!"

Seconds later, the videos show a portion of the barrier giving way and dozens of fans falling from a lawn area to a concrete walkway several metres below.

A police spokesman told local broadcaster NBC 10 that up to 15 people were injured, with several taken to hospital. None of the wounds are believed to be life-threatening.

Medics and security personnel tended to the injured, and the concert was later cancelled.
