Tremor causes no glitch at Krsko plant

The Krsko power plant works in a reliable and safe manner, and a moderate quake that hit the area of Brezice on Sunday morning caused no glitch in the functioning of the plant, representatives of the nuke power plant said on Sunday morning.

The quake measuring 4.3 on the Richter scale was recorded shortly before 9 am Sunday near Brezice, an eastern Slovenian town at the border with Croatia, Croatia's seismological service reported. No preliminary damage or injuries have been reported.

Krsko is 10 kilometres north-west of Brezice.

Several minor aftershocks were also felt in the Croatian-Slovenian border area.
