The Turkish air force struck a base of the banned Kurdish party PKK in Iraq late Wednesday, a news agency reported.
The air strikes over the Qandil mountains, just across the border, lasted two hours, the official Anadolu agency reported Wednesday night.
No details were given regarding casualties. The PKK has a headquarters in Qandil.
The Turkish military launched a campaign in mid-December against PKK militants based in several cities on its territory.
