The Central Executive Board of Turkey's ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) have begun meeting in the capital Ankara, the state-run Anadolu news agency reports.
Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu is expected to hold a press conference after the talks.
Turkish media reports he will step down as party leader, clearing the way for him to be replaced as premier.
