US condemns deadly airstrikes in Syria

The United States condemns airstrikes conducted in and around Aleppo that killed civilians at a hospital and a school.

The attacks were "without cause and without sufficient regard for international obligations to safeguard innocent lives," State Department spokesman John Kirby says.

The attacks were carried out by "the Assad regime and its supporters," Kirby says in a statement.

He again calls on all parties to cease attacks on civilians and take immediate steps to allow in humanitarian aid.
